Al diseñar un espacio lo primero que hago es una fusión entre la finalidad del espacio y su contexto. A partir de un estudio previo pretendo captar la esencia del proyecto y creo un concepto. El anteproyecto parte de este concepto, siendo siempre fiel hacia el mismo. Pienso que el éxito de un proyecto se consigue cuando éste logra coherencia y armonía con el concepto original.
Luego me enfoco en los materiales, texturas, composición y el estudio formal.
El diseño de mobiliario y piezas únicas forman un gran papel aportando identidad, personalidad y funcionalidad.
Una vez que el anteproyecto esta finalizado, comienza el proyecto ejecutivo donde se proyectan los detalles técnicos para una correcta comprensión y ejecución.

The elaboration of a design concept is created by studying the essence, context and the aim of the space this is the first step taken to initiate an interior design project. Then I focus on materials, textures and composition, studying the formal expression.
The furniture design and unique soulful pieces are a statement in collaborating to the space identity. Once the design is defined the executive project begins, emphasizing in every technical detail for the best comprehension and execution.
I consider a project successful when the concept is fully expressed through the visual aesthetic & experience.

En Visual Arts IB  aprendí a hacer RESEARCH y vincular todas las asignaturas que me generaban CURIOSIDAD. EXPERIMENTE por primera vez el crear CONCEPTOS. Esta metodología la aplico en el proceso creativo de diseño. Este camino de estudio y expresión es lo que me mantiene motivada y en movimiento.

During Visual Arts IB I learned to RESEARCH and link all subjects that wake up my CURIOSITY. For the first time I EXPERIENCED the creation of CONCEPTS. I apply this methodology  in the design creative process. This path of research, study and expression is what keeps me moving.

Me defino como una persona inquieta visualmente, paso horas explorando buscando aquello que capte mí atención. Encuentro la belleza en detalles, texturas, composiciones. Me doy el tiempo de contemplar, sentir, re ordenar y componer fotográficamente. Generar un equilibrio y armonía de tonalidades, formas, proporciones, contrastes, texturas, luz, me genera paz, bienestar y un equilibrio interior.

I define myself as a visual person, always exploring my environment looking for something that catches my eye. I find beauty in details, textures, compositions. I slow down, contemplate, rearrange and take pictures on my way.

Mi familia paterna fundó en 1835 su casa de subastas de arte y antigüedades. Infinidad de artistas y estilos pasaron por mis ojos tanto en los catálogos como en las exhibiciones en el reconocido Hotel San Rafael (Hoy Cipriani) de Punta del Este. Durante mi crecimiento viajaba a remates y exhibiciones en Philips, Sothebys & Christies NYC, aprendi a valorar el arte latinoamericano en el mercado global. Siempre quise trabajar de forma creativa en una escala internacional, sin limitarme al mercado nacional. Horas y horas contemplando obras de arte, éste inundó mi visual desde que tengo uso de la razón y me formó.

Durante mis estudios primarios y secunadrios en The British Schools desarrollé mi creatividad y mente visual con sus formales, teóricos y prácticos cursos de arte, finalmente terminé cursando Visual Arts High IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma, este estableció mi mente creativa y visual, me marcó para el resto de mi vida.

I grew up in an art and aesthetic world. My paternal family was a renowned family on the Art & Antiques business. Countless artists and styles passed through my eyes, both in catalogs and at exhibitions at the renowned Hotel San Rafael (Now Cipriani) in Punta del Este. Growing up I visited Phillips, Sothebys & Christies auctions in NYC getting to understand the value of latin american art in the global market. I always wanted to work creatively in an international scale, without national limitations. Hours and hours of contemplating works of art have filled my vision for as long as I can remember, shaping me.

My maternal grandmother was a sophisticated decorator who raised her daughters into the decor business, one of them owns Las Hounie a linen upholstery shop, named after their surname.

During my junior and highschool studies at The British Schools of Montevideo I developed my creativity and visual arts perspective within its formal, theoretical and practical art courses, finally I ended up taking Visual Arts High in the International Baccalaureate diploma, it established my visual and creative mind, set me up for the rest of my life.
